HAPPY 7TH BIRTHDAY DAKOTA! :)

Happy 7th birthday to my silly boy Dakota! :)
I took the above photo at about 8:28 this morning. He was born at 8:22 a.m. He wanted to make a silly face. He is one silly boy. Lately he acts so goofy and silly especially at bedtime.

Dakota's birthday breakfast was sausage, homemade biscuits and homemade sausage gravy that I put together to make him a sausage gravy biscuit and scrambled eggs. Yummy! :) He loves biscuits and gravy! :)

Dakota loves being around our horses. This is Mary our newest horse. She is pregnant and due in July 2011. Dakota has already told us many times that next year for Christmas he wants horse stuff (a saddle especially or a horse cart). Mary is already broke to ride and drive a cart. She is 6 years old. Dakota enjoyed walking her around today. He is the one that posed for the picture (I didn't even have to tell him to... he know I love when he takes a cute photo). :)

Happy 7th birthday to my silly boy Dakota! :)

I can hardly believe my oldest son is already 7! He is such a fun, loving, silly, outdoorsy, great student, creative, comedian, thoughtful, great hunter, great at archery, cutie pie, great baseball player, and a wonderful son and brother! :) He's been very excited about his 7th birthday. We are going to PF Changs for his birthday dinner. He LOVES the lettuce wraps and he is very excited about the Calamari too (his other fav). His cake is going to be a giant chocolate chip cookie that I am going to decorate like a baseball. He loves all things baseball and has quite a baseball card collection now.

I love you Dakota! I thank God for giving me a sweet son like you!! :) Happy birthday sweetie! :)

Baby kicks :)

I have begun feeling baby kicks! I'm so excited to be at this stage in the pregnancy. :) The first little movements I felt were on Sunday, Dec. 26 in the evening. I was 14 wks. 3 days. I wasn't 100% sure if those little flutters were the baby but I continued to feel the same movements over the last 2 days. I had more little kicks just this morning. What a great feeling! :) Now I can't wait for the kids and David to be able to feel the baby but that will still be weeks away.

14 weeks on Christmas Eve :)

Santa visit 2010

We got together for our annual Santa visit and gift exchange at David's cousin's house. This party is always a lot of fun and especially special because Santa makes a special stop by the house. We never do the mall Santa photos because of this special visit. This year Wyatt wasn't into having his picture with Santa which is why he is crying in the family photo. There is also not a picture of him alone or with his brother and sister plus Santa. He wasn't feeling that well and still had a bit of a cough. I did get a few smiles from him later on after we opened gifts. Emma and Dakota were delighted to see Santa and his elf. Elfie even played a fun song on the harmonica that Dakota got from Santa. :)

I loved Emma's Christmas dress this year and she did too. She loved twirling around in her gorgeous dress. :) The dress also came with a matching one for her doll. :)

Happy cousins on Christmas Eve :)

Merry Christmas! I've got a few moments as my family is enjoying all of the fun gifts they have received for the holiday. I wanted to share a great photo I took last night of the 5 McGee cousins (Wyatt, Dakota, Hannah, Emma, and Hayden). I couldn't believe I actually got 1 photo of them all looking, lots of smile, and NO tears. Well the tears came shortly after when my mother-in-law and sister-in-law tried to get one of all 5 kids (Wyatt was the crying one). I'm glad I got this one. We don't have many photos of all 5 kids looking in the same direction. This is a keeper for sure. :)

Christmas Eve was a blast and so has our Christmas day. :) Wyatt is done playing so my time is up. I hope all of you have also had a blessed holiday season. :) Many many more holiday photos to share with all of you. :)

Finally into the 2nd trimester :)

I have finally reached the best part of a pregnancy for me... the 2nd trimester! The 1st trimester was full of LOTS of nausea but I'm already noticing a drop in that now that I'm 13 weeks pregnant. I still get some nausea if I stay up to late at night. All of my pregnancies have been that way. I am looking forward to feeling a bit more energized now. Wyatt has had a horrible cough that has been causing us some rough nights so I'm not feeling all that extra energy yet but I know it's right around the corner.

Over the next few months I want to start getting the nursery ready for our new baby. We are moving our nursery into a small room right off of our bedroom which is currently an office/storage room but we've got our work cut out for us. When we put our house on the market we packed up a bunch of stuff... toys, extra kitchen stuff, ect. Well when we got that all out of storage we put it into that room. Little by little I know I'll get through all the "stuff" and get rid of some of it to make room for that baby.

I already know I want to do an owl themed nursery. I LOVE owls!! They are just so cute! My husband doesn't quite understand why I love them so much but they are just so darling. Depending on the sex of the baby will affect the design of the nursery. My best friend Summer who is an incredible artist is going to help me design it and paint some cute things for the room. I'm going to make some things too. I have the cutest owl fabric I've been holding onto but it will only work if this baby is a girl. I still am leaning towards thinking this is a girl. I can't wait to get started on the nursery. Below is an inspiration owl pillow for the room (Target has the most adorable owl stuff)... (I like the cute owls that are like these the best).

Emma's 1st time deer hunting with her daddy :)

Don't you love her pink camo snow bibs. Girls can hunt and still be girlie. ;)

David and I love this one. :)

Today David surprised Emma and let her go out deer hunting with him (she didn't have a gun) for the first time. She's been wanting to go squirrel hunting but with all of the snow we've gotten and the business of the season deer hunting worked out the best today. She was very excited and got ready to go in about 2 minutes. :) The day is pretty chilly (it's the 2nd extra weekend for gun season)and the ground covered in snow. They stayed out a little over an hour and while they didn't see any deer they did see plenty of tracks plus they had fun. Emma was all smiles when they returned home! :)

Happy 5th Birthday Emma! :)

Happy 5th birthday to my sweet girl Emma! :) I can hardly believe she is 5 years old today (wow). We started off the morning with a breakfast of cinnamon rolls, bacon, and eggs (no eggs for Emma though). I love how she's wearing the hat in the picture. She is a girly girl. :)

The kids were all drinking there milk and laughing when they ended up with a milk mustache. I of course had to get some pictures of the mustaches. :)

We got snow here yesterday so they are counting down the minutes to when they get to go out and play in the snow. Emma got a new snowsuit from her Mimi and Papa McGee and she can't wait to wear it in the snow.

David is working today :( so I don't have to much on the schedule for Emma. Her brother Dakota was sweet and played Barbies with her this morning. I'm sure we'll play some games and do whatever else the little princess wants to on her special day. She wants to go out for chinese for dinner. Yum yum! :)

Happy 5th birthday baby girl! You are so sweet and affectionate! I love when you rub my shoulders (she gives a good shoulder rub) :) She loves ballet and dances around the house almost everyday. :) She loves to color pictures and does a great job. She is looking very forward to school in the fall of 2011 and enjoys doing lessons with mommy. She likes to watch Strawberry Shortcake, Madeline, Barbie, and Tinkerbell movies, she likes to play the baby game on the Wii, she likes to bake with mommy, hunt with daddy, and she loves the horses and pigs on the farm. Finally she LOVES to sing especially the alphabet. I love to here you sing songs about Jesus when you are upstairs and I'm downstairs. You sings with all your might and it makes me smile every time! :) Emma you are a blessing to us all and we love you sweet girl! :)

Our little ballerina in her recent holiday performance. She looked so cute and did such a good job. Ballet is for sure one of her favorite things to do. :)

I came across this picture of her. The kids were all being silly with the antlers from David's recent hunting trip to Montanta. She's a mule deer. :) She may be girly but she's not afraid to get dirty either (just like here mommy). :) Plus look at that big smile. :)

Emma's 5th birthday party :)

We had Emma's 5th birthday party yesterday and she chose a Barbie theme. The day ended up being a snowy one but Emma didn't mind at all. She had a ton of fun with her 3 friends (they were so cute running all over the house playing together). We had a brunch menu for her food and the food was so yummy! :) I made pumpkin stuffed croissant french toast, sausage links, egg-sausage egg bake, loaded baked potato chowder, and my neighbor brought over some fresh pineapple. I love brunch foods and I was very happy Emma wanted this type of food for her party. She loved it too. :)

Emma loved her Barbie doll cake. I made the cake and I'll admit I've been waiting for the day that I could FINALLY make her the doll cake. I've made 1 other one when my sister Katie was a little girl. The way a little girl's face lights up when they see there doll cake is just magical! :) I love it! I love how cute the cake turned out (the ruffle added just the right girly touch to the cake). :) The inside of the cake was purple. A girly cake for my girly girl. :)

She was blessed with many wonderful gifts and of course lots of Barbies. :) She played a game of pin the heart on the princess tiara and there was a pinata. All the kids grabbed a string and pulled away as the candy flew everywhere. Fun stuff! :) The big hit of the party was silly bandz. :) Little did I know that the kids loved the glow-in-the-dark bandz (thankfully I had enough for everyone). :)

I of course took lots of pictures and this is just a few of the ones I took at the party. The dress Emma wore is special because it was her cousin Mary Kate's dress. Emma loved wearing it and her brother said she looked like Samantha the American Girl doll (one of Emma's favorites). I think she look beautiful! :) Here brothers looked so cute in there pictures with her and I love the big smile on her face as she's hugging my belly bump. :) She just loves her daddy to pieces. They are going to go squirrel hunting this week and she is so excited for that day! She loves to spend time with him. :)

June 23, 2011

What day is June 23, 2011??? MY DUE DATE! I'm very excited to announce that I am pregnant with baby #4! :) We are all thrilled that we will be welcoming a new baby girl or boy into our home in June!

My 1st ultrasound at 7 wks. 6 dys (Yes there is only 1 baby in my belly!)

The kids are very happy that they will have a new sibling. I have already enjoyed how much they are into this pregnancy (with my previous pregnancies they weren't really old enough to "get it"). They love to look at my belly. Wyatt will say "wow your tummy's big mommy." The sweetest thing he's done recently is last Friday we were watching a movie and he fed the baby popcorn and turkey through my belly button. It was so cute! I wish I would have videotaped it. He showers my belly with kisses but when he's all done he'll say "okay mommy cover it back up." :) Emma likes to feel how hard my belly is sometimes. Dakota isn't into touching my belly a lot yet but I know once the baby starts moving he'll enjoy feeling the kicks and watching the movements of my belly.

We will be finding out the gender of this baby (the girls want a girl and the boys want a boy). My instinct is saying girl but I also would really love to have another daughter so that could be making me think girl (I would love for Emma to experience the joys of a sister). We'll know in February if we'll be needing to buy pink or blue in baby summer clothes (I don't have any of because my other babies were winter and fall babies). I can't wait to shop for this little one! I've been good and held out on not buying any baby clothes yet because I don't really want to buy gender neutral clothing.

Here I am on Thanksgiving... 10 weeks with a little bump :) I was in my maternity pants at 8 weeks this time but with my thin figure and this being baby #4 the belly just popped right away. :) Plus the maternity pants help in me not feeling so sick (I don't like any pressure on my belly during pregnancy and my pre-maternity jeans just fit to snug.) I love my bump! :)

So far this hasn't been any easy pregnancy with A LOT of nausea all day long but in the last week it has switched to just being in the evenings (the same way with my previous pregnancies) and I have been so much more tired this time. Thankfully I have a very understanding husband and children!

I feel so blessed that God blessed us with conceiving quickly with this final pregnancy (yes this will be it for us). I have always wanted to be a mommy of 4 but David didn't always share in that vision. ;) I prayed many many prayers that God would change David's heart and God was faithful and opened my husband's heart for room for 1 more sweet baby! I can't wait and the excitement has been so much fun for all of us. :)

You can see the excitement here... this is the morning we told the kids before my 1st appt. The 2 youngest had to go with us because my bestie was sick with the flu so we had to share the news with them a little bit earlier than planned. I had the hardest time keeping the pregnancy from them so David or I didn't mind sharing the news with them. :)

BOO at the zoo

This year we took the kids to Boo at the Zoo! :) David was on his hunting trip to Montana for trick-or-treat night so we only did Boo at the Zoo this year. The kids looked great! :) Wyatt was scared of the spooky display behind the signs so he wasn't thrilled to take this photo (he was crying in one of the photos.. it was cute.)

Wyatt was a blue dinosaur. I loved the tail on the back of the costume. He looked so cute! He loves dinosaurs right now but he had a hard time deciding what he wanted to be for Halloween this year.

Emma was a ballerina. My best friend Summer made her skirt. She looked beautiful! The day was very chilly and it worked out perfect for her costume that she had the brown sweater with the ballet slippers on it. She had a cute little leotard on underneath the sweater. We made Dakota's costume this year and it was a lot of fun. He wasn't sure what he wanted to be this year but he finally decided on a robot (since we told him we could make the costume). His costume was a hit!! He was getting A LOT of attention and everyone was making comments like "look at the robot" and "cool costume" and "that's the best homemade costume ever." He wasn't sure about all of the attention so he ended up taking off the head, legs, and arms of his costume. He didn't like all of the attention. He looked so cute. Cutting the eyes and mouth out of the head was his idea. The front of the robot had a t.v. on it. He even walked like a robot. I loved when he talked like a robot too. :)

David and I didn't dress up this year. I was going to but then just didn't get it all together. David just returned from Montana the night before so he wasn't up to dressing up either. We've promised the kids that we'll both dress up next year.

I took this picture of Emma as she was playing on the polar bear play area. She looks so happy and I love how I captured her "I'm having so much fun mommy big smile!" They all loved playing in this play area.

For our picture together we had to do a ballet pose of course!

Our day was almost over but I love how cute Emma and Wyatt smiled for me in this photo (well this was like the 4th photo I took). ;)

We rode the spooky Halloween train and Dakota rode with me. We had fun. We rode all the way in the back of the train while David, Emma, and Wyatt rode in the front. The differences in kids cracks me up and where they wanted to ride on the train showed there differences that day. We had fun on the spooky train! It wasn't to spooky though.

There was smoke everywhere giving the eerie feeling as we crossed this bridge. David and the kids were just walking out of the spooky smoke!

This is Wyatt's first self portrait! He always sees me taking self portraits with David and I take them with the kids. He wanted to try on. I love this photo and he looks very cute!

The afternoon at the zoo was fun but cold and windy. We did see a few animals but I enjoyed watching my kids all dressed up plus looking so cute too. They had fun going to the different stations getting candy but at the end of the day Dakota was a bit sad because it just wasn't the same as going from house to house. I have some extra candy to buy to make up for the lack of it at the zoo and next year we'll be sure to go to the traditional trick-or-treat. I agree that is a lot more fun! :)

The love of my oldest son :)

Dakota likes to take shower's in mommy and daddy's bathroom. Today after he was done and as I was getting the other 2 ready for bed I walked into the bathroom and this is what I found written on the mirror.

David has been gone on an elk hunting trip out west since last Tuesday night so this sweet little message just made my night. Dakota told me he ran out of room to write "you" and he asked me "mommy is that how you spell love?" He is so sweet and thoughtful. I'm blessed to have such a loving son! :)

Yesterday he was sick and stayed home from school (I'm thankful it was just a 24 hour bug as I hate to see my children in pain and that's what he was in yesterday) but last night he lost another tooth. :) He wiggled that tooth until it finally came out (we had tried the tie a string around it and slam the door the night before but we couldn't get that trick to work). The tooth fairy visited last night and left him $1.00. :) His top middle tooth is loose right now too so by Christmas he may be able to sing "All I want for Christmas is my 2 front teeth!" :) I love his changing toothless grin! :)

My sweet little guy

Wyatt and I were having fun just the other day taking self pictures of him and I together (he loves when I hold the camera back and take a shot of the two of us and I love it too because he puts his little arm around me giving me a big squeeze). I got this shot of him (I only got half of my face so I cropped that out) and I just love how his eyes are just so bright plus that cute little smile. Just a simple picture of my littlest guy... my 3 year old. :)
